The Caravan Club directions are set out below .

This is not the best route to take to our C. L.

The Caravan Club say that it is the nearest route to and from an "A" Road.

But at what cost , the village of Whatstandwell is very narrow with cars parked

on the side of the road making it very difficult to get through with a car let alone a car & caravan

So I have given alternative routes in blue below.

Turn Right off A 6 (Ambergate - Matlock) at Whatstandwell onto B5035 (sp Crich); in about 1.5 Miles in Crich

Turn L (sp Tramway Museum) ; within Half a mile at T- junc continue into site on R of drive; 119:SK345549.

Travelling From M1 both North and South

Exit @ Junction 28 onto A38 towards Derby In about 3 miles turn off

signposted Chesterfeild /Matlock and take the third exit from island signed Matlock A615

In 100 yards fork left at Traffic lights again signed Matlock.

Continue on this road until you reach another set of traffic lights in about 1 mile.

Turn left here and immediately turn right at the Butchers Arms Pub.

Drive through South Wingfield and take particular care at the

Left Hand Ninety Degree bend through the Rocks!.

Continue on the main road passing Wingfield Manor on your left as you assend the long hill.

At the top of this hilll you will drive through Park Head and you will see Crich Stand in the distance.

As you come into the village of Crich you will come to the cross in the middle of the road.

Fork right here continuing up the hill take great care up this short strech of road because it is very narrow.

After passing the Church on your right in about 200 yards with the Tea Rooms on you left

take a right turn at Town End.

Within 50 yards turn left at the second drive into the Certificated Location.

On your arrival please report to Standcliffe House before pitching.

Travelling North on A 38 from Derby

Do not exit at Ripley Junction but continue to the first Alfreton exit.

Signposted for Chesterfield / Matlock

Take the first exit from island signed Matlock A615

In 100 yards fork left at Traffic lights again signed Matlock A615.

Continue on this road until you reach another set of traffic ligfhts in about 1 mile.

Turn left here and immediately turn right at the Butchers Arms Pub.

Drive through South Wingfield and take particular care at the Left Hand Ninety Degree bend through the Rocks!.

Continue on the main road passing Wingfield Manor on your left as you ascend the long hill to Crich.

At the top of this hilll you will drive through Park Head and you will see Crich Stand in the distance.

As you come into the village of Crich you will come to the cross in the middle of the road.

Fork right here and continue up the hill taking great care up this piece of road because it gets very narrow.

After passing the Church on your right continue for about 200 yards with the Tea Rooms on you left

At this point which is called Town End the road widens and the

main road carries on round to the left~~~ turn right here. and you have almost arrived.

Within 50 yards turn left at the second drive into Standcliffe House Certificated Location.

On your arrival please report to Standcliffe House before pitching.
